Walter FM’s guitar-driven indie is both melancholic and hopeful at the same time. The Helsinki-based artist draws influences from 90s and 2000s bands such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and Kent. In the quieter parts, Walter’s music is reminiscent of Sufjan Stevens. Walter FM started as a solo project in 2019 but has now expanded into a five-piece band. The band signed with Swedish Ninetone Records in early 2023 and released their 2nd record during early 2024.
